Hunger is unacceptable anywhere in the United States, the most agriculturally abundant nation in the world. Soaring food insecurity across New York state, home to 65 multi-billionaires, is particularly appalling. U.S. Hunger is not an issue of food scarcity or distribution – people simply can’t afford food and other key costs of living. Hunger is about poverty, the decline of the middle class and wealth inequality.
