ALBANY, N.Y. (Times Union)— Lunch and breakfast would be free for every student in every school in New York under a proposal Gov. Kathy Hochul said Friday will be rolled into her policy agenda for this year’s legislative session.
Hochul’s administration estimates the program would save families $165 in spending on groceries each month. That adds up to about $2,000 each year.
