Editorial — Take a bite out of debt: School districts need financial help in paying for meal plans

Federal and state legislators must figure out how to resolve this dilemma. Between these two levels of government, an adequate amount of money should be allocated to offer free meals to all students. It’s well known that students perform poorly when they go hungry, so finding a way to properly finance these programs is an investment in the future of our children and our nation.
