ALBANY, N.Y. (Daily Gazette)– Gov. Kathy Hochul wants to provide free school lunches to students in every school district across the state.
Hochul announced the proposed initiative Friday to expand universal school meals program to ensure New York’s 2.7 million students have access to free breakfast and lunch.
The governor wants the initiative included in next year’s state budget.
